About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our client’s workforce. This role offers competitive pay along with the potential for overtime, making it an ideal time for experienced professionals to advance their careers. The position is based in Hornby, where you will benefit from onsite parking and work in a supportive and experienced team environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- A relevant trade qualification
- 3 to 5 years of experience working with heavy vehicles or trailers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive, safety-conscious, and adaptable approach to work
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
- A current full NZ Class 1 driver’s licence
- NZ residency or valid work rights (visa variations can be arranged)
What You'll Be Doing
As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for:
- Performing electrical inspections and testing to identify and resolve faults or malfunctions
- Interpreting wiring diagrams and applying advanced troubleshooting techniques
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair electrical systems
- Installing and upgrading components such as lighting, GPS, communication, and entertainment systems
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment in line with company standards
