    About the Company Health New Zealand - Counties Manukau Radiology is located in South Auckland, encompassing Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park (MHP). Our organization is at the forefront of innovative healthcare delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. We provide radiology services to a diverse community, including national referrals for spinal injuries and burns. As a rapidly growing service, we are excited about our upcoming expansion into new premises at MHP, set to include MRI facilities in 2026. About the Role We are seeking an experienced MRI Modality Lead Medical Imaging Technologist to join our dynamic team on a permanent part-time basis. This role, requiring a commitment of four days or 32 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday), involves participation in our 24/7 MRI on-call roster. As one of three leaders within the MRI MIT leadership team, you will report to the MIT Team Leader. The successful candidate will need to hold a current annual practicing certificate in the scope of MRI and ideally MIT from the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologist Board (MRTB). Your key responsibilities will include supporting the MRI Team, ensuring optimal service delivery, and supervising and assessing four MRI Trainees. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should have more than two years of post-graduate experience in a hospital setting, preferably with Siemens scanners and in a supervisory role. We are looking for a team player who enjoys sharing expertise, possesses motivation, innovation, and organizational skills, and is eager for career development. You will be part of a collaborative team that includes MRI Technologists, Trainees, SMOs, MRI Fellows, nursing, and administration staff, all dedicated to providing high-quality service.
