About the Role
We are currently looking for two experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our innovative Radiology team at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldier's Memorial Hospital. These permanent positions are available on either a part-time or full-time basis, offering up to 80 hours per fortnight (2.0 FTE total).
As a Radiology Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, medical imaging technologists, and fellow nursing staff to deliver clinical support, monitor patients, administer IVs, and provide pre- and post-procedure care. Additionally, you will be prepared to respond to emergencies as needed.

Our Radiology Department offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, angiography, and image-guided procedures. About You
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about providing exceptional care to patients undergoing radiological procedures. You should be calm under pressure, adaptable, and committed to ensuring clinical safety and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and New Zealand Nursing Registration
- A minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience (experience in acute or procedural settings is advantageous)
- IV certification and CPR competency (or a willingness to obtain these)
- Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to equitable and culturally safe care, in alignment with Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Previous experience in radiology, theatre, PACU, emergency department, or ICU is desirable, but not essential; full orientation and training will be provided.
