About the Role
We are currently seeking a part-time Support Worker in Napier to join our team. This position entails providing support to individuals in their own homes and communities, ensuring they lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. You will help our clients achieve their personal dreams and goals by participating in activities they enjoy, such as swimming, attending sports events, engaging in arts and crafts, going to the movies, or shopping. The possibilities are endless.
This position is for 4 hours per week, specifically on Tuesday and Friday from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
Requirements
We are looking for passionate individuals who are eager to help others. Ideal candidates will possess the following qualities and qualifications:
- Kindness and understanding, with strong communication skills
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly working with youth, is preferred
- A valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle are essential
- A desire to support individuals in learning new skills and achieving their goals
- Initiative, energy, and an outgoing personality, along with the ability to think creatively
- Respect for diverse perspectives and lifestyles
- Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness, as the individuals we support come from various backgrounds with unique needs and interests
