About the Role We are currently seeking full-time and casual Support Workers to assist individuals in our Napier and Hastings residential services. In this dynamic and varied role, you will support people with various aspects of daily life, enabling them to engage in activities they enjoy, such as swimming, personal care, meal preparation, household management, and life skills development. Support Workers are key members of our team, working shifts or specific rosters to provide 24/7 support. Some rosters may include the opportunity for additional sleepover payments. Requirements We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and who exhibit kindness and understanding. While previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred—especially with disabilities and challenging behaviors—it is not mandatory. Candidates must possess a full driver's license and demonstrate initiative in encouraging individuals to achieve their goals. We value energetic, outgoing individuals who can think creatively and are respectful of diverse perspectives and lifestyles. Flexibility is essential, as overnight shifts are required, including weekends. Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are crucial in this role, as the individuals we support come from varied backgrounds with differing needs and interests.
