About the Role
We are currently seeking Trades Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects across the country, so flexibility regarding work locations is essential. You will be responsible for reviewing electrical layouts to ensure compliance with electrical and fire codes, installing and testing systems, and addressing any issues that arise.
You will work under the guidance of the Leading Hand, Supervisor, or Manager to meet project timelines, costs, and quality requirements. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring progress, communicating any delays, and conducting quality inspections in accordance with company policies and procedures. Safety is a top priority for us, and we expect you to fully understand our safety objectives and seek guidance as needed.
Additionally, you will be an integral member of both the marine team and the broader organization, contributing to various tasks as assigned.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should ideally have at least one year of relevant experience or a qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 1, though this is not mandatory. Key skills and attributes include:
- A friendly demeanor paired with strong time management skills
- A solid work ethic and reliability
- A commitment to learning and skill development within the industry
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
Benefits
We offer competitive pay ranging from a minimum of $26.00 per hour to a maximum of $40.00 per hour, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work each week. This is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our company.
Location
Our Trades Assistants may be required to work in various locations throughout New Zealand, including, but not limited to, Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
