Palmerston North Regional Hospital is recognized as the premier healthcare institution in the MidCentral Region. About the Role
Palmerston North Hospital is pleased to offer a 3, 6, or 12-month position in Paediatrics, with opportunities for strong candidates to be promoted to registrar positions. The MidCentral District provides an excellent foundation for House Officers and Registrars seeking to enhance their skills and experience.
Our facility includes a 14-bed neonatal unit that caters to infants as early as 28 weeks gestation or weighing 1000 grams, while the Children's Ward accommodates a diverse range of pediatric admissions. Registrars will engage in various ward, neonatal, and clinic activities, with tertiary support available from Starship, including outpatient clinics conducted by visiting Senior Medical Officers from Starship.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. For eligibility details, please visit the Council's website at www.mcnz.org.nz.
- Completion of PGY1 or an equivalent program and be in the second six months of your PGY2 year.
