With approximately 722 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres, we provide a comprehensive range of hospital services, including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. As a major teaching institution affiliated with the University of Auckland, University of Waikato, and Wintec, we foster a dynamic learning environment and offer numerous research opportunities. Our advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities are located on the Waiora Waikato Hospital Campus, supported by both road and air ambulance services. About the Role We are currently seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our progressive and multidisciplinary team on an 18-month fixed-term contract, working full-time at 50 hours per week. This role offers you the opportunity to contribute to the care of patients during treatment, manage follow-up clinics, and assist with returning patients who have been re-referred with new issues. Additionally, you will participate in the on-call roster and support peripheral clinic work in locations such as Thames, Rotorua, and Gisborne. We are looking for a candidate with strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a diverse range of tumour streams. The remuneration package for this position adheres to the ASMS Senior Medical Officers MECA. About the Team/Service As part of our team, you will have the exciting opportunity to apply your expertise across various subspecialties, including head and neck, central nervous system, and skin oncology.
