About the Role In this role, you will take the lead in developing and implementing the communications and engagement strategy for the CCHV Hospital Network programme. Your primary focus will be to ensure effective communication both internally and externally for the programme and its associated projects. You will manage internal communications, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and change communications. Additionally, you will provide progress updates and gather information to support successful project delivery while addressing emerging communication issues. As an integral member of the programme and project teams, you will collaborate closely with various teams, including those in Hospital and Specialist Services (HSS), the Infrastructure and Investment (IIG) Group, and the Health New Zealand Communications and Engagement team. The salary for this position ranges from $104,179 to $130,179, depending on your expertise and knowledge. About the Team/Service Location Health New Zealand Capital Coast Hutt Valley District is undergoing significant changes across multiple infrastructure, service, and operational programs. The Hospital Network Programme is focused on enhancing our network of hospitals within the district. Currently, our primary effort is directed towards the Wellington Regional Hospital Emergency Department refurbishment project (Front of Whare), which will involve relocating and expanding our Emergency Department and acute services on the Wellington Regional Hospital site. This major multi-year infrastructure initiative will bring about substantial changes for our services, staff, and patients. Our long-term vision includes planning for the future development of our hospital sites and services. About You We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills: - A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or commerce, or equivalent experience in the workforce. - Experience at a senior level within the healthcare or public services sector. - Proven ability to develop effective strategies and work plans that achieve defined objectives. - Strong written and oral communication skills suitable for diverse audiences. - Excellent relationship-building abilities, fostering connections with both internal and external stakeholders. - A proactive and enthusiastic approach to leading change initiatives.
