About the Company Founded in 2011 by the Wahlberg family, including Chef Paul, Mark, and Donnie Wahlberg, Wahlburgers has developed a dedicated following across the United States. In 2022, we expanded our presence in Australia, and in March 2023, we proudly opened our first restaurant in New Zealand, located at the iconic Princes Wharf precinct in Auckland. About the Role We are seeking candidates for a variety of positions at different experience levels, and we are committed to providing training to all successful applicants. The roles will involve assisting our Kitchen Managers and Assistant Kitchen Managers with daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards in recipe and menu item execution, and ensuring a professional image within the restaurant. Additionally, we strive to create a safe and harassment-free environment for all team members. Job functions include: - Assisting Kitchen Managers with daily operations - Maintaining high standards for consistency in food preparation - Upholding the professional image of the restaurant and team members - Ensuring a safe workplace for all Requirements We are looking for individuals with the following critical skills: - Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication abilities - A capacity to inspire cooperation and teamwork through confidence and enthusiasm - Knowledge of operations and maintenance of commercial food preparation equipment - A systematic approach to work with strong organizational skills - Attention to detail Specific requirements vary by position: For Chef de Partie (CDP): - A minimum of 3 years of kitchen work experience in high-volume environments, preferably in supervisory roles - Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations and strong culinary skills - Ability to manage inventory and allocate responsibilities For Commis Chef: - A minimum of 2 years of kitchen work experience in high-volume environments For Kitchen Porter/Dishwasher: - A minimum of 3 months of experience in a commercial kitchen Benefits We offer a variety of employment options, including full-time, part-time, and casual roles, with flexible rosters that consider your commitments outside of work.
