We are currently seeking experienced drain layers to join their team.
About the Role
The demand for qualified drain layers has never been greater, and if you are looking for long-term job security, this position is ideal for you. Our client is engaged in various projects throughout the Wellington Region, including large infrastructure initiatives, council work, and sub-divisions.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of plant equipment, from diggers to smaller machines like plate compactors. You will need to read plans, coordinate material orders, and ensure that all materials are available on site to meet project timelines. Your expertise will be crucial in installing, repairing, and maintaining drainage systems.
As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate your ability to lead a small team, liaise effectively with stakeholders, clients, and suppliers, and prepare and complete data for monthly claims.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, you should have the following:
- A minimum of 5 years of drain laying experience
- A Trade/Certified Drainlayer qualification
- A solid understanding of the principles and technology of drain laying and new water connection work
- Experience operating plant machinery, including Class 2 and WTR
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to pass all pre-employment checks
Benefits
We offer competitive remuneration based on your experience, qualifications, and skills, with a salary range of $95,000 to $115,000. This is a permanent, full-time role within a reputable drainage company that values ongoing training and professional development. You will be part of a tight-knit professional team that is dedicated to excellence.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required.
