About the Role
We are currently seeking an Intake and Referral Coordinator for a permanent, full-time position based in Porirua, with expectations to work across the district. This senior role is essential for ensuring clear access pathways into Mental Health services. The coordinator will provide advice, support, training, and leadership to clinical staff within the Mental Health and Addictions Integrated Service (MHAIDS). This ensures consistent referral intake and triaging across teams, effectively meeting the needs of clients and services referring to MHAIDS. The role will also involve liaising with general practitioners and other health providers as necessary. The salary range for this position is between $114,025 and $125,145, depending on experience.
About the Team/Service/Location
This position is part of the MHAIDS Operations Centre, which encompasses various MHAIDS services. The role reports to the Operations Centre Operational Manager and will be based in Porirua, while also serving the three districts that comprise MHAIDS.
About You
We are looking for candidates with experience and advanced clinical triaging skills in Mental Health. You should be a strategic thinker who can see the bigger picture across the service. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to foster a nurturing environment are essential. Strong communication and time management skills are also important for this role.
