About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Allied Health, Scientific and Technical for our Community Services at Dunedin Hospital. This is a permanent, part-time position (0.5 FTE) that offers a strategic and professional leadership opportunity within our organization.
In this role, you will report operationally to the General Manager and professionally to the Chief Allied Health Scientific and Technical Officer. You will play a crucial part in providing strategic operational and professional leadership for our Allied Health and Scientific and Technical teams, enabling their growth and effectiveness.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting allied health, scientific, and technical staff to operate efficiently using contemporary models of care on a daily basis.
- Collaborating with other professional leaders and service managers to optimize the effective and efficient operation of services.
- Promoting excellence in quality allied health, scientific, and technical standards, practice, and professional conduct.
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of clinical quality and best practices, particularly in their application within the health sector.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee the practice of team members, ensuring that the needs of both patients and the organization are met.
- Proven capability in providing up-to-date professional advice regarding clinical and operational skills and practices.
- Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities within the health sector.
- Knowledge of the Southern Health System and future models of care is desirable.
