About the Role
We currently have multiple Caregiver positions available to join our welcoming team at Hilda Ross Retirement Village in Hamilton. To qualify, you must meet one of the following requirements: either hold a Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or its equivalent along with three years of relevant experience, or possess a Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or its equivalent.
We are looking for individuals who have a genuine empathy for the elderly and are committed to making our village a wonderful place to live and work. The role requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, which may include a weekend day. The hourly wage ranges from $27.88 to $30.40, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing care and personal assistance to residents as outlined in their care plans and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- Observing and promptly reporting any changes in a resident's status or behavior to the Registered Nurse or senior staff.
- Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times.
- Demonstrating compassion and understanding of residents' needs, offering help and support as necessary.
- Documenting the care provided to residents in an objective and timely manner.
