About the Role We are currently seeking an energetic and motivated Team Leader for our Residential Houses in Cambridge. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team in assisting our clients to live as independently as possible. Your efforts will help create a safe environment where individuals can build confidence, forge friendships, and engage with their community. This position involves a mix of morning, afternoon, and evening shifts throughout the week, so flexibility in supporting your team across various schedules is essential. What does the role involve? As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals with disabilities achieve independence while effectively leading and motivating your team. Your responsibilities will include: - Facilitating meaningful and purposeful activities both at home and in the community, focusing on maximizing independence and engaging with Whanau. - Managing household duties, including meal preparation, daily care routines, and personal care. - Collaborating with your team to consistently implement personal support plans, ensuring effective teamwork and communication. - Providing a warm and nurturing living environment that encourages feedback and ideas, supporting each individual towards their personal goals. We are seeking candidates who possess: - Relevant caregiving experience, including personal care. - Ideally, some leadership experience or a genuine desire to develop leadership skills. - The ability to tailor your leadership style to accommodate individual learning preferences. - A warm, calm, and friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others achieve positive outcomes. - A full New Zealand driver’s license and the capability to transport passengers safely in our disability vans. - Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness, as the individuals we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
