We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join us as Junior Structural Steel Fabricators. About the Role As a Junior Structural Steel Fabricator, you will play a vital role in our projects across six regions. We value organization, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethic, and we are looking for someone who is driven by results and takes pride in their work. Flexibility in work locations is preferred, as you may be required to assist with projects in various areas. Your responsibilities will include: - Following engineering plans, blueprints, and drawings to ensure accurate assembly - Assembling steel structures and securing them using bolts, rivets, or welding techniques - Installing structural steel components at construction sites - Cutting, shaping, and welding steel materials to meet required specifications using both machine and hand tools - Collaborating with other trades when necessary - Performing repairs or modifications to existing steel structures as needed - Working effectively as part of a team Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience: - Previous experience in steel fixing, welding, fabrication, or related occupations - A friendly demeanor and a strong work ethic - Effective time management skills - A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry - An understanding of health and safety procedures - Reliability and a hardworking attitude - The ability to pass a Criminal Check and Drug Test Benefits We offer competitive pay conditions, with a minimum rate of $26.00 per hour and the potential to earn up to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work each week. Location You will primarily be required to work across various locations, including Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago.
