About the Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Lead Chef (Head Chef) at Ryman's Miriam Corban Retirement Village in Henderson, Auckland. This is a full-time position with a schedule from Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, motivate, and inspire the kitchen and café team to deliver exceptional dining experiences that meet the highest standards.
- Prepare a variety of delicious meals from our seasonal menus, ensuring each dish is flavorful and nutritious.
- Develop menus and create specialty dishes for fine dining experiences and special functions.
- Manage staff rosters, support menu development, trial new recipes, and accommodate different dietary needs.
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety standards at all times.
About You
To thrive in our supportive and rewarding environment, you will bring:
- Extensive experience as a Head Chef, including leading a team and managing a kitchen that caters to large groups or functions.
- Outstanding communication skills, with a reliable, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- A qualification in Cookery or an equivalent certification.
