About the Role We are pleased to offer a permanent full-time position for a Renal Research Fellow in Auckland, specifically at Counties Manukau Health. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage in both local and international nephrology trials while also covering clinical nephrology duties. As a Renal Research Fellow, you will be involved in the care of patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, dialysis, and renal transplantation. Your responsibilities will include conducting clinics, providing cover for the haemodialysis unit, managing inpatient care, and participating in the on-call roster for both the Renal Registrar and the Medicine Registrar. This position runs for six months; however, applicants can express interest in a 12-month double run. Depending on your training status, three months of this position may be accredited toward Nephrology for Advanced Trainees or may count towards core and non-core Medicine for Basic Trainees. About You To be considered for this role, you must currently be a Basic or Advanced Trainee with the RACP and be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. If you are already a Renal Advanced Trainee and currently employed in the Auckland region, please note that you do not need to apply through this job listing, as you will have independent discussions with your specialty. However, if you are a current Resident Medical Officer (RMO) employee in Auckland seeking a six-month allocation or applying for advanced training in Renal, a formal application is required.
