About the Role We are seeking a NZ Country Manager for a senior leadership position, where you will oversee the commercial performance of our multi-brand portfolio within the lifestyle, outdoor, and footwear categories in New Zealand. In this role, you will take complete ownership of our retail account network across the country. Your responsibilities will include driving sales, enhancing retail relationships, and implementing brand and product strategies aimed at maximizing growth. This role offers a high level of autonomy and visibility, making it ideal for a confident sales leader who possesses a hands-on approach and strong commercial instincts. You will collaborate closely with our Australian-based Product and Brand Managers to achieve seasonal targets, shape future product ranges, and ensure your territory is positioned for long-term success. Key Responsibilities - Manage and expand the network of retail and wholesale accounts across New Zealand. - Set and achieve seasonal sales and margin targets for each brand. - Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within existing and new partnerships. - Collaborate with internal brand and product teams to shape future product offerings. - Provide territory-specific market feedback, sales commentary, and performance reporting. - Lead account planning, promotional activities, and seasonal forecasting. - Manage all sales, order deadlines, and go-to-market timelines across brands. - Deliver tailored training and marketing support to key accounts. - Represent the New Zealand market in cross-functional product and brand meetings. - Conduct regular competitive analysis across categories. Who We're Looking For We are looking for candidates with a proven background in sales, account, or territory management, ideally within the outdoor, lifestyle, footwear, or sporting goods industries. You should possess a strong commercial mindset, with a thorough understanding of sell-through strategies, stock management, and margin strategy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of autonomy, initiative, and the ability to identify and act on market opportunities. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the capability to work cross-functionally while clearly representing the needs of the New Zealand market. Experience in seasonal planning, reporting, and category growth strategies is also important. A willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally is required.
