About the Role
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented individual for a part-time Cashier position in our Botany store, specifically within the Electrical department. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for aspiring retail professionals looking to establish a career in a successful global business.
In this customer-focused role, you will provide outstanding service to enhance the shopping experience. You will receive comprehensive training on our point of sale system to ensure you have a strong start.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accurately processing sales, gift vouchers, returns, and credit claims using our point of sale and customer service system.
- Maintaining stationary supplies, including Eftpos, finance, and manual docket books.
- Ensuring the Electrical department is well-presented.
- Assisting with sales and operational tasks, such as stocktakes.
- Working across a 7-day roster, which includes weekend and public holiday shifts.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude who can serve as the welcoming face of our department.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- A quick learner who is resilient and has a genuine interest in the retail industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy and numeracy skills.
- Previous customer-facing experience is desirable.
- Availability to work on weekends and public holidays.
