About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers for immediate and ongoing deployment across various projects nationwide. These roles are full-time and permanent, with site locations determined by project demand. This position is well-suited for individuals with a strong background in structural reinforcement and the ability to work from detailed drawings. Applicants should be open to relocating or traveling as necessary. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for: - Interpreting engineering plans and drawings to accurately cut, bend, and place steel bars and mesh. - Tying rebar using the appropriate techniques for various reinforcement systems. - Placing and securing steel within formwork prior to concrete pours. - Adhering to health, safety, and quality standards at the job site. - Collaborating efficiently within large construction teams to meet strict deadlines. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications: - A minimum of three years of experience in steel fixing or reinforcing steel, either in New Zealand or overseas. - The ability to read and work from technical drawings. - Strong physical fitness and attention to detail. - Experience with commercial, civil, or infrastructure projects is preferred. - Relevant trade experience or qualifications will be advantageous. The regions include: North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatū-Whanganui, Wellington. South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
