About the Role
We are currently seeking reliable and experienced machine operators to join our team in Rolleston. In this full-time position, you will operate milk powder packing machines in a fast-paced production setting. We offer competitive pay of $25 to $26 per hour, with weekly pay and both day and afternoon shifts available.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Operating and monitoring milk powder packing machines
- Setting up machines for each production run, including filling, sealing, labeling, and coding
- Inspecting product packaging for quality and accuracy
- Troubleshooting minor mechanical issues and escalating when necessary
- Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with food safety standards
- Recording production data and reporting to supervisors

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience with packaging machinery, preferably in the food or dairy industries
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and food safety protocols
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle moderate lifting
- A detail-oriented and safety-focused mindset
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive work ethic
- Flexibility to work additional hours when needed
- Own transport is advantageous
