About the Role
We are excited to announce the opening for Psychiatry Registrars for the 2026 Training Year in the Auckland Region, which includes Auckland, Waitemata, and Counties Manukau. Our Northern Region Psychiatry Training Programme, Hinengaro Akonga o Tokerau, is the largest of its kind in New Zealand and ranks among the top programs in Australia and New Zealand.
This unique opportunity offers a comprehensive and diverse range of training experiences, setting the stage for a successful career in psychiatry. Our graduates often secure local employment post-fellowship, ensuring a smooth transition into their professional lives. The program is led by a team of experienced professionals who have trained both locally and internationally, and we are committed to addressing both educational and individual needs of our trainees.
We provide robust support through the Director of Training and local Training Facilitators, alongside Consultant Psychiatrist Supervisors. This structure enables trainees to receive the professional mentorship and personal guidance necessary to thrive in their roles.
