About the Role
We are currently seeking a full-time Support Worker for our services located in West Melton. In this role, the Support Worker will assist and support individuals with various activities centered around horses.
The available shifts are full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Grooming horses and warming them up for riders
- Assisting individuals with mounting and dismounting horses
- Leading or providing support during rides
- Mucking out and feeding horses
- Providing personal care and support for individuals attending riding sessions or spending the day at the stables
- Performing grounds maintenance and managing medications and notes
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Proficiency in riding and ground skills
- A genuine desire to work with and support individuals in a riding environment
- Willingness to assist with personal care tasks, including toileting as needed
- Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness, as the individuals we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests
