About the Role
We are currently seeking a part-time team member to join us at our residential home in Burnside, Christchurch. This role involves working 60 hours per fortnight across various shifts: morning (7 am - 3 pm), afternoon (3 pm - 11 pm), and night (10:45 pm - 7 am). There is no fixed roster, but we guarantee 60 hours every fortnight.
In this position, you will play a crucial role in assisting and empowering our kiritaki to achieve their goals of independence and participation in daily activities. Every day will present unique challenges and opportunities for you to make a positive impact on the lives of those we support.
You will work collaboratively with kiritaki, utilizing your coaching skills to promote their independence, encourage choice, and facilitate participation in activities. Your responsibilities will include providing personal support with daily living tasks, which may involve personal cares, hoisting, bowel cares, and administering medications in accordance with our policies. Training will also be provided for high-needs care, including PEG/PEJ and tracheostomy care.
