About the Role
We are excited to offer a Cashier opportunity in our Christchurch store, specifically within the Electrical department. This full-time position is ideal for those looking to start their career in retail and gain valuable experience in a successful global business.
In this entry-level role, you will focus on delivering exceptional customer service to create a positive shopping experience for our customers. We will provide you with training on our point of sale system to ensure you begin your journey with us on the right foot.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Accurately processing sales, gift vouchers, returns, and credit claims using our point of sale and customer service system.
- Maintaining stationary supplies, including Eftpos, finance, and manual docket books.
- Ensuring the presentation of the Electrical department meets our high standards.
- Assisting with sales and operational tasks, including stocktakes.
- Working Monday to Thursday, including late nights on Thursday.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude who can serve as the welcoming face of our department. The ideal applicant will possess the following attributes:
- A quick learner with resilience and a genuine interest in the retail industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy and numeracy skills.
- Previous customer-facing experience is desirable.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays.
