About the Role
We are seeking a Retail and Trade Assistant to join our close-knit team. This role offers a work-life balance with a schedule of Monday to Friday, along with a rotating Saturday, totaling 40 to 45 hours per week. You will be part of a motivated team eager to succeed and grow as the business expands.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and engaging with retail and trade customers
- Maintaining a high standard of store cleanliness and presentation
- Driving sales and meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through customer interactions
- Opening and closing the store, handling banking and cash-up, and managing stock
We are looking for someone who is physically fit and able to lift items weighing up to 30 kilograms. An eagerness to learn and grow within the company is essential, as there are opportunities for advancement for the right candidate.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least three years of experience in the paint or trade industry, or other transferable sales or customer service experience
- A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and work collaboratively with others
- A self-motivated mindset and the ability to think creatively, offering innovative ideas
