About the Role
We are currently seeking a Transport Scheduler to join our team in Glenbrook. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing daily deliveries efficiently to customers nationwide. If you possess a strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a closely connected team, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. This is a permanent full-time position based at our depot in Glenbrook.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and managing transport schedules to ensure the timely delivery and pick-up of goods.
- Coordinating with drivers to guarantee that deliveries are made on schedule.
- Liaising with the Dispatch team and clients to understand delivery requirements and priorities.
- Creating run schedules to meet client needs while managing driver expectations and leave coverage.
- Ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Troubleshooting and liaising with relevant parties in the event of unforeseen incidents.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have:
- Proven experience as a Scheduler, preferably within the dangerous goods industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders.
