About the Role
We are seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our dynamic team of three at our Crooks Road office in East Tamaki. In this role, you will be actively engaged in reporting, forecasting, planning, and inventory management for JDE New Zealand, ensuring that our customers receive the coffee and tea they love.
Your responsibilities will include:
Demand Forecasting: You will apply best practices, collaborate with stakeholders, and utilize SAP/APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) to generate a robust forecast and enhance forecast accuracy.
Supply Planning: You will work with a network of local and international suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and achieve key supply chain KPIs. Additionally, you will monitor potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
NPD Management: You will closely support the wider team throughout the new product development cycle to ensure timely and successful launches, as well as a stable forward supply pipeline.
Order Fulfilment: You will coordinate with the Logistics and Customer Service teams on order processing and fulfillment to meet the Delivery In Full, On Time (DIFOT) requirements.
Reporting: You will generate and analyze regular inventory reports to stay informed and support the achievement of key supply chain KPIs. Taking ownership of slow-moving inventory is essential, as you will prepare and drive recommendations and action plans to minimize waste.
Continuous Improvement: You will identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain and propose and implement effective solutions.
Requirements
To be successful in the role of Supply Chain Planning Specialist, we are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain planning roles, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Experience with SAP ERP will be highly regarded.
- Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to problem-solving and simplifying complex issues.
- Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- A valid unrestricted work visa is required.
