About the Role We are currently seeking dedicated caregivers to join our friendly team at the Jean Sandel Retirement Village in New Plymouth. We have multiple positions available, and we invite compassionate individuals who are committed to creating a wonderful living and working environment for our residents to apply. To qualify for this role, candidates must meet one of the following requirements: - A Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent, along with three years of relevant experience, or - A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent. In this role, you will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, which may include shifts on weekends. The hourly wage ranges from $27.88 to $30.40, depending on your experience. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: - Assisting with care and personal needs as outlined in each resident's care plan, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. - Observing and promptly reporting any changes in a resident's status or behavior to the Registered Nurse or senior staff. - Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times. - Demonstrating empathy and care by understanding the needs of residents and providing appropriate support. - Documenting the care provided to residents objectively and in a timely manner.
