About Our Role
We are currently seeking a part-time Caregiver to join our team at Riverside Lifecare in Merrilands, New Plymouth. This position offers 20 hours of work per week, with shifts available in the evenings and on weekends. If you have a passion for caring for others and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate attitude, the ability to bring smiles to others, and strong interpersonal skills. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a warm and caring atmosphere.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in caring for others, preferably in an aged care setting.
- A minimum NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent qualification from New Zealand or overseas (such as a Bachelor of Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- A genuine love for helping people, complemented by excellent customer service skills and a friendly, positive demeanor.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and an understanding of health and safety procedures.
