About the Role We are seeking a dynamic individual for a unique position that combines the responsibilities of a Deckhand with the hospitality skills of a Host. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating memorable experiences for our guests while ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations. As a Host/Deckhand, your responsibilities will be divided between two key areas: Deckhand Duties: You will assist with safe vessel operations, including berthing and mooring, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring smooth sailing for our guests. Host Responsibilities: You will provide exceptional food and beverage service, welcome guests aboard, set up and maintain service areas, and create warm, engaging interactions both on the vessels and at Walter Peak High Country Farm. Requirements To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: - Based in Queenstown and available to start immediately - At least 1 year of hospitality experience - At least 1 year of maritime experience - Strong understanding of health and safety practices - A positive, reliable team player with excellent communication skills - A current First Aid Certificate is a bonus This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work on the water, meet people from around the world, and be part of a passionate team that embodies Queenstown's rich heritage and hospitality.
