    About the Company Tradestaff Global is excited to announce an opportunity for skilled tradespeople to work at McMurdo Station in Antarctica during the upcoming summer season. This unique experience offers the chance to work in one of the most isolated yet breathtaking environments in the world. The season runs from October 2025 to March 2026, with deployment expected around October. Return dates will be confirmed at a later stage. About the Role We are looking for dedicated team players for a large commercial construction project in Antarctica. The work will require individuals who are willing to contribute on the tools and support their colleagues. We have a variety of roles available, including: - Interior Finishing Carpenters (Trade Qualified) - Ceilings & Interior Fitout Builders (Trade Qualified) - Tile Installers - Plasterers / Drywall Installers - Painters (Trade Qualified) These positions are not for the faint-hearted, as you will be staying for several months in a remote location. Working in Antarctica is challenging but rewarding, and you will gain invaluable experience while forming lasting friendships. Requirements To be eligible for these roles, please note the following criteria: - Applicants must be New Zealand or US citizens, currently and permanently living and working in New Zealand. - Vaccinations: Candidates must be willing to receive the Flu, Tdap, and MMR vaccines. - These positions are not FIFO (fly in fly out); you will be on-site for an extended period. - Expect long working hours, six days a week. - Start dates are approximate and contingent upon passing medical and dental checks, obtaining security clearance, and your notice period. - A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is mandatory. - A Full Class 1 NZ Driver License and a clean criminal record are required. - The application process is detailed and may take time; patience is essential. - Candidates may need to travel to Tauranga for medical and dental examinations, with costs covered for testing and flights from outside the Bay of Plenty. Benefits We offer a competitive package that includes: - Flights provided from any major New Zealand airport. - Food, shared accommodation, and travel insurance. - A pay rate of $66.11 per hour, with contracts paid fortnightly in NZD for 54 hours a week. - All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) supplied.
