About the Role We are seeking a PhotoCentre Operator for our Dunedin store within the Computers department. This part-time position combines customer service skills with photo editing experience, allowing you to process images and deliver a range of photocentre services to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and operations of the PhotoCentre, ensuring a positive experience for all customers. We provide comprehensive training on our systems and machinery, ensuring that you feel fully supported as you begin your journey with us. Key responsibilities include: - Communicating effectively with customers throughout their experience in the PhotoCentre. - Operating photographic processing equipment while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. - Manipulating, editing, and restoring images according to customer specifications using software such as Photoshop. - Providing a variety of PhotoCentre services, including creating image disks or USBs, canvas prints, photo gifts, photo books, calendars, greeting cards, and photo blocks. - Performing cashiering and sales duties as needed. About You We are looking for a creative individual who prioritizes customer service and is mindful of health and safety. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen attention to detail. - Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to engage with customers in a proactive and professional manner. - Proficiency in computer literacy and comfort with imaging technology. - Experience in the photographic or image processing industry, along with knowledge of Photoshop, is desirable. - Previous retail experience is also preferred. - Availability to work on weekends and public holidays is essential.
