About the Role
We are excited to offer a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Allied Health Professional to join our Rehabilitation team as the manager of our Living My Life Service, overseeing a team of Rehabilitation Coaches.
In this leadership role, you will ensure a professional, client-centered culture of care that aligns with the values and mission of our Trust. You will lead a team of Rehabilitation Coaches and Allied Health Professionals to deliver a meaningful, goal-driven service, which includes both group activities and individual coaching for clients in the community.
You will manage Rehabilitation Coaches who operate across the organization under various funded contracts. Building and maintaining relationships with staff throughout the Laura Fergusson Brain Injury Trust, as well as with clients, their families, and external stakeholders, will be a key aspect of your role.
About You
To be successful in this position, you should be a registered Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Speech and Language Therapist in New Zealand. A minimum of three years of experience in a leadership or management role, as well as three years in Traumatic or Acquired Brain Injury rehabilitation, is essential.
You should have experience supporting clients in developing meaningful goal plans, facilitating groups, and adult education. Strong coaching skills, along with the ability to manage conflict and motivate others, are critical. You should demonstrate leadership and management competency, possess an understanding of contractual requirements, and have a clear grasp of the regulatory framework and legal environment in which we operate. Familiarity with HR policy and legislation relevant to this role is also necessary.
