Store Assistant / Reach Truck Operator

About the Role We have a full-time position available for a Logistics professional with prior experience operating a Reach Truck. Please note that while Reach Truck operation is a necessary skill, it is not the primary focus of this role. You will also work closely with our Store Assistants in the merchandising team, gaining exposure to various areas within the store. Your schedule will be from Tuesday to Saturday, with hours from 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM. Key responsibilities will include unloading trucks, breaking down orders, replenishing shelves, and arranging stock and pallets. Attention to detail is crucial, especially when dealing with incoming stock in the Inwards Goods area, as maintaining inventory integrity starts there. Requirements The ideal candidate will possess a combination of Forklift and Reach Truck experience, along with a current Forklift/Reach Truck Operator certificate. Previous experience in a Logistics or Inwards Goods role specific to our environment will give you an advantage. Physical fitness is necessary, as you will be required to handle heavy lifting (up to 20 kg). Familiarity with SAP and receipting is a bonus, but we will provide full training. You may also be required to work from ladders and assist in maintaining our storeroom and credit area. We prioritize Workplace Health & Safety and Food Safety Compliance. Therefore, enthusiasm, good organizational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. This is a busy supermarket environment, so the ability to multitask and work independently is vital. Being a team player and contributing positively to our culture are also key expectations.
