About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our warehouse team. This role is essential in assisting with customer queries, managing stock movement, and ensuring effective storage solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing all receiving, storage, delivery, and paperwork procedures in a timely manner.
- Providing exceptional service to customers, which includes promptly serving those picking up goods from the warehouse and handling phone inquiries.
- Assisting with stock movements, including operating the shuttle truck as needed.
- Unloading trucks and, when feasible, loading goods into customers' vehicles.
- Utilizing Crown stockpickers to pick goods efficiently.
- Adhering to safe work practices during heavy lifting, machine operation, vehicle driving, and working at heights.
- Maintaining health and safety standards consistently and complying with all relevant Health and Safety requirements.
- Assisting with stocktake preparation and execution.
This position requires a minimum commitment of 40.5 hours per week, with scheduled hours from Saturday to Wednesday.
About You
We are looking for candidates who possess the following attributes:
- Physical capability to assist with manual handling.
- Basic computer skills, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A practical understanding of Health and Safety guidelines and procedures, particularly in manual handling, and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Customer service or warehouse experience is desirable.
- A current, full New Zealand driver's license is essential, with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
