About the Role We are seeking an empathetic and dedicated Support Worker to join our Community Services team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to make a significant impact in their community. We offer a variety of flexible work options, including both permanent (full-time and part-time) and casual positions to accommodate different schedules. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping our clients live as independently as possible in their homes and communities. You will provide both practical and emotional support, assisting clients in achieving their goals and realizing their potential. Your responsibilities may vary and will follow a care plan, which can include tasks such as: - Meal preparation - Facilitating community outings and integration - Administering medication - Providing personal care (such as showering and toileting) - Assisting with home management tasks Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess a strong desire to assist and support others while striving for excellence in their work. While previous healthcare or caregiving experience is preferred, it is not essential. Excellent communication skills are important, and healthcare qualifications will be considered advantageous. Most positions will require a full New Zealand driver’s license and access to reliable transport.
