About the Role
We are currently seeking dedicated caregivers to join our team, specifically in the West Auckland area. The ideal candidate for the Support Worker position will be fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese and English, and have a genuine passion for helping others live independently and with dignity.
In this role, you will assist clients with daily living activities and provide companionship, while also encouraging community engagement. Your ability to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin or Cantonese will be crucial in fostering strong, culturally respectful relationships with clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living tasks such as showering, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Assist clients with mobility and safe transfers.
- Support clients in attending appointments, social outings, and accessing community resources.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress notes.
- Respect and uphold clients' cultural values, beliefs, and individual preferences.
What We Need From You
- Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese and English, both spoken and written.
- Prior experience in disability support, aged care, mental health, or a related field is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
- A valid New Zealand Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts.
- A legal right to work in New Zealand.
- Physical fitness to assist with mobility support.
- An empathetic, patient demeanor and respect for diverse cultures and lifestyles.
Shifts Available
- Monday to Friday: 7 am to 7 pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 7 am to 7 pm
