About the Role
We are currently seeking casual staff to join our WellFood team in Westport. This role is designed to cover sick and annual leave. If you are looking for a more meaningful opportunity within the hospitality industry, we invite you to apply.
Our kitchen team is dedicated to preparing high-quality café food for our staff, patients, and visitors. You will follow standardized recipes while using your creative flair to present dishes that we can all take pride in. Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment is essential.
This position requires a strong focus on customer service, as you will be interacting with a diverse range of individuals. We will provide training to help you succeed in this role.
The starting pay for this position is $27.80 per hour, in accordance with the E tu Service and Food Workers collective agreement.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Assisting our cooks with food preparation and presentation
- Delivering meals to patients throughout the hospital
- Ensuring your workspace remains clean and organized
We are looking for a team player who is flexible and willing to assist the cleaning team as needed.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills:
- Experience as a kitchen assistant in a similar environment
- Excellent customer service and food preparation skills
- Strong teamwork abilities, as well as the capacity to work independently
- Physical fitness and reliability
- Strong time management skills
