About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers for immediate and ongoing deployment throughout the country. These full-time, permanent positions come with a minimum guarantee of 30 hours per week, and we provide the necessary personal protective equipment and tools. This role is well-suited for individuals with a solid background in structural reinforcement who can read detailed drawings and are open to relocating or traveling as needed. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will interpret engineering plans and drawings to cut, bend, and place steel bars and mesh. You will tie rebar using appropriate techniques for various reinforcement systems and ensure that steel is placed and secured within formwork prior to concrete pours. Adherence to health, safety, and quality standards on-site is crucial, as is the ability to work efficiently in large construction teams under strict deadlines. Requirements We are looking for candidates with a minimum of three years of steel fixing or reinforcing steel experience, whether in New Zealand or abroad. The ability to read and work from technical drawings is essential, along with strong physical fitness and attention to detail. Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure projects is preferred, and relevant trade experience or qualifications will be considered advantageous. Nationwide Opportunity and Travel Although this position is listed for the West Coast, we are recruiting for roles available in all regions of New Zealand based on project requirements. Specifically, we are looking for candidates from the following areas: North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington. South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland. We encourage applicants from any of these regions who are willing to travel or relocate within the country, with relocation costs covered by our company.
