About the Role
We are currently seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our Intellectual Disability Service (IDS) based at Wakari Hospital in Dunedin. This permanent, full-time position is located in Ward 10a, which serves as an inpatient rehabilitation unit and is also part of our Community Liaison team.
In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes Registered Nurses, Mental Health Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists. We value both experienced nurses and new graduates, and we provide support through the Enrolled Nurse Transition into Practice Programme for those just starting their careers.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your clinical skills while providing patient-centered care in a complex and dynamic environment. You will work closely with the Associate Charge Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Registered Nurses to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess a solid range of nursing skills and demonstrate the ability to work effectively within your scope of practice. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a genuine passion for supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities throughout their care journey.
Candidates must be registered as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) and hold a current Practicing Certificate.
