About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse for a unique and rewarding opportunity within our team at Dunedin Hospital. This fixed-term secondment covers a position until November 2025, with a part-time commitment of 0.4 FTE (32 hours per fortnight). In this role, you will play a key part in facilitating the Fisher and Paykel wound oxygen study and managing associated data activities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that all research activities comply with legislative and clinical trial requirements
- Liaising effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders
- Recruiting patients for selected trials
- Providing education and support to staff regarding specific trial protocols
- Maintaining trial data requirements, including coordinating patient tests and appointments
- Processing research data and reporting adverse events
- Conducting home visits for patient assessments

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- A valid driver’s license
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other professionals
- Excellent time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Adaptability, flexibility, and a solution-focused mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including word processing and Excel
- Relevant experience, such as working in oncology or with clinical/commercial trials
Salary Range
This position falls within the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery Collective Agreement, with a salary range between Step 1 ($116,040 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 3 ($127,674 p.a. pro-rata) of the designated Senior Nurse scale.
