About the Role
We are currently seeking a Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) to join our radiology team at Gisborne Hospital. In this permanent role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical imaging services to support diagnosis and treatment for Hauora Tairawhiti. The position includes a rostered and shift on-call component as required.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our radiology team is vibrant and committed to making a positive impact in our community. We provide a range of imaging services, including general X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Mammography, DEXA, and Interventional Radiology. Additionally, we offer after-hours on-call support for CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and General X-Ray.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Be a qualified Medical Radiation Technologist
- Hold current registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board (NZMRTB)
- Possess a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Have experience operating X-Ray equipment, including digital machines
- Demonstrate sound oral and written communication skills
- Exhibit good knowledge of cross-sectional imaging
- Maintain a high level of time management and personal work organization skills
- CT knowledge is advantageous
