About the Role We are currently seeking full-time Structural Steel Fabricators to join our team. In this role, you will work on significant infrastructure and commercial construction projects across New Zealand. Your primary responsibilities will include the placement, securing, and tying of structural steel components according to engineering plans. This position guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week, is full-time and permanent, and offers opportunities for professional growth. Key Responsibilities - Interpret engineering plans and drawings to accurately place and secure structural steel components. - Tie reinforcement steel using appropriate techniques for various reinforcement systems. - Collaborate with site teams to ensure the timely and safe installation of steelwork. - Adhere to all health, safety, and quality standards on-site. - Work efficiently within large construction teams while meeting strict deadlines. Requirements - A minimum of 2 years of experience in structural steel placement and reinforcement tying, whether local or overseas. - Ability to read and work from technical and engineering drawings. - Strong physical fitness and manual dexterity. - Knowledge of safety procedures and quality control protocols in steel construction. - Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure construction projects is preferred. - Relevant trade experience or qualifications will be considered advantageous. Nationwide Opportunity and Travel This role is open to candidates from all regions of New Zealand, and we are actively recruiting for positions that will be deployed based on project demands. The regions include: North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington. South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland. We encourage applicants from any of these areas, and you must be willing to travel or relocate as needed. We will cover relocation costs for successful candidates.
