About the Role
We are currently seeking a Caregiver to join our team at Havelock North Village. In this role, you will collaborate with your colleagues to create a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment for our residents. Your responsibilities will be diverse and will primarily focus on providing personal care and assistance in their daily lives.
Typical duties include:
- Delivering meals and assisting residents during mealtimes
- Aiding with personal hygiene, including showering
- Supporting individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
- Engaging residents in activities, such as puzzles and table tennis
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is naturally empathetic, kind, and patient. You should thrive in a role where your compassion and care can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- Previous experience in aged care or a similar role
- Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships
- A commitment to a rotational roster that includes morning, afternoon, and night shifts
- The ability to work a schedule of four days on and two days off
