About the Role
We currently have multiple Caregiver positions available at our welcoming James Wattie Retirement Village in Havelock North. In this role, you will be an essential part of our friendly team, dedicated to providing compassionate support to our residents.
To qualify for this position, you must meet one of the following requirements:
- A Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent along with two years of relevant experience, or
- A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent.
We value empathy for the elderly and a commitment to making our village a wonderful place to live and work. The role requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, which may include weekend shifts. The hourly wage ranges from $27.88 to $30.40, depending on your experience.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with care and personal needs as outlined in the care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Observing and promptly reporting any changes in a resident's status or behavior to the Registered Nurse or senior staff.
- Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times.
- Demonstrating understanding of residents' needs and providing appropriate help and support.
- Documenting care provided to residents in an objective and timely manner.
