About the Role
We currently have multiple Caregiver positions available at the James Wattie Retirement Village in Havelock North. We are looking for individuals who are compassionate and dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for our residents.
To qualify for this role, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold a Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or
- Hold a Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent.
As a Caregiver, you will be working a minimum of 30 hours per week, which may include weekend shifts. The hourly wage ranges from $27.88 to $30.40, depending on your experience.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing care and assistance with personal needs as outlined in individual care plans and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- Observing and promptly reporting any changes in residents' status or behavior to the Registered Nurse or senior staff.
- Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times.
- Demonstrating empathy and understanding of residents' needs while offering support and assistance.
- Documenting the care provided to residents accurately and in a timely manner.
