About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Technician to join our Chipseal Division in Auckland. In this hands-on position, you will play a crucial role in supporting our surfacing team by providing accurate and timely data that ensures we maintain our high-quality standards. Your responsibilities will include overseeing documentation control and monitoring the quality of various roading surfaces.
Your daily tasks will involve onsite field testing, where you will apply mathematical and machinery-based procedures. You will also have the opportunity to engage directly in the work, assisting the team on site when necessary.
Requirements
To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Prior experience in sealing is highly preferred, along with knowledge of aggregates and surfacing techniques, including hot mix and chip-sealing.
- A Class 1 Driving License is required, and a WTR endorsement would be a bonus.
- Experience in civil and roading projects within an engineering or technical quality control capacity is advantageous.
- Strong technical, mathematical, and analytical skills are essential.
- A bitumen safety certificate is desirable; however, we can support you in obtaining this certification.
- Willingness to work both night shifts and day shifts, including weekends.
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
