About the Role
We are seeking a part-time, permanent Referrals Management Clinician to join our team. This role is based in Central Auckland (Grafton) and operates at 0.8 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), with shifts available from Monday to Sunday.
As a Referrals Management Clinician, you will be responsible for facilitating and managing access for tangata whai i te ora to a variety of Community Mental Health Services (CMHS). Your duties will include handling inquiries from the public and referrers, managing referrals, conducting assessments, and providing general liaison between CMHS, General Practitioners, other health services, and social agencies.

You will be joining our team at Ihi Ora (Taylor Centre), a prominent Community Mental Health Centre. We are dedicated to offering comprehensive assessments and recovery-oriented treatments for adults dealing with serious mental illness and severe psychological disorders.

About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic Mental Health Nurse who is ready to tackle the diverse challenges of delivering recovery-focused, integrated services to the Te Toka Tumai adult community. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals under the leadership of the Clinical Team Leader. Together, we aim to provide efficient and high-quality service outcomes tailored to our clients' needs.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have clinical expertise with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, mental health service providers, government agencies, and community organizations to support clients' recovery.
- Hold a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- Possess a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health.
- Have prior experience working in a mental health setting.
